Suiting Up!
There's an unseen realm around us always. We don't know much about it, but I know from my own experience, that it is real. It's easy to focus on what Christ has done, or drawing nearer to Him. But there needs to be a point we come to when we realize, it's not all about "me". It's not always JUST about meeting with Him, about studying the bible more. Even the prince of demons knows the scriptures. It's about taking the things you have gained from your personal experience with Christ, and using it as a tool to do what we're asked to do, be fishers of men.
I love music ministry. I love writing stories, poems, songs etc. But lately I find myself wanting to be more useful. The ministries I'm apart of are vital and important, as all ministries are, but I wonder sometimes, what good is it enough to minister behind walls? I also ask myself "What good is a talent that is hidden away, or put aside to never be used?" I personally struggle with sharing my talents... I always feel they're just not good enough. I've come to realize I'm allowing lies to control my life. I'm allowing insecurities to make choices for me. In the midst of my weakness I am not only suppressing the good works He has begun in me, but I am suppressing His work to reach those lost and searching. That is not, and should not be "chill" with me or with anyone called according to His purpose! We know that God makes all things work together for the good of those who love Him and are chosen to be a part of His plan.- Romans 8:28
Am I saying satan is "controlling" me? Heck no! I belong to Christ! But I must remember, I'm still human and this world is not my home. My soul is redeemed, but my flesh is still flesh. Can I make the choice, to allow influence of the enemy in my life? Absolutely. Oppression is real. This is why we are called to put on the Armor of God. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.- Ephesians 6:11 I can choose to allow my actions to be influenced, or to throw those lies in to the fire, and allow Him to refine me and mold me.
There's a time and season for everything, and it's different for everyone; in my life now is my time to stop wasting time!
For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.
A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and a time to dance.
A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a time to turn away.
A time to search and a time to quit searching.
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
A time to tear and a time to mend.
A time to be quiet and a time to speak.
A time to love and a time to hate.
A time for war and a time for peace.
-Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
